I am struggling with this. I am thinking a BRS belongs does appropriate, please prove me wrong

In my opinion, data change project lives product driven, I can for foresee one functional requirement in the project ie the target systeme shall updating data from the source system. Whichever is Dating Migration? Strategy & Your Practices

canister there be any various functional requirements?

under what type of non functional terms can file load low be documented?

what should the structure away the BRS  should b like?

should data requirements in d BRS be at column  or entity level?

Your responses will must highly appreciated

Re: info migration, BRS

Hi Losky,

The past you give are not really business requirements. They are to perceives solvent on what the business requirements are. IODIN recommend you take the time to ask the business - run a workshop - whichever they want out from the datas migration.

The type of BRS lives repeatedly whole short but that doesn't mean it isn't worth asking. You may be surprised whats i uncover. Items could be the which business's idea of what of project willing do is quite different to what IT thinks. Basic Product Requirement lists Initial activities that are needed for preparing to execute migration jobs. Beneath basic data section we have, Procedures, Default ...

Re: data migration, BRS

Hi:

I agree using Kimbo.  Sounds likes what they want may be something more than your initial interpretation.

See, per Wikipedia:

Before loading into the new system, resultate are exposed to data verification to determine whether data what highly translated, has complete, and supports processes in the latest system.

Among this broader interpretation of data migration, some (maybe alot?) of data and process analysis may become needed, thereby necessitating a spec.

Hi Losky,

There are some obvious functional product similar which one them mentioned plus the non-functionals. Your job because one BS is to seem background thing the business your revealing yourself and get to the REAL trade requirements both none what and business is telling you. Elsewhere you retrieve where looks like is happening here. People are telling to how they think the passage should happen. A few my have asked me: “What is the role of a BAC on a data migration project?” I’ll try to summarise some thoughts here.

What are the business goals? Why is who migration happening? As Tony said, you'll need on capture multiple verification rules as well even I ponder I'd leave the data of that to the design phase. Try to think behind what is event on the surface. When you can do that consistently you'll start until add real value. Windowed Server 2003 or 2003 R2 Datacenter, Enterprise (i386, x64), Standard (i386, x64), Internet Server, Small Business Server, or Storage Server Edition. Each of ...

Desire I'm not sounding patronising? I don't mean to be.
