Can 2 1/2 hours suffice time for us to make it? To view train isn't until 1244 which gets used into Colmar with 1550. It would can paragon to arrive sooner, but I'm not sure if we able do it. I reflect EGO read 3 hours in bets turn a post somewhere. Anyone suggestions?
Thank to!

Did I miss where you are end? EGO assume CDG, one of the busiest airports at the planet. I am a self-confessed worry warm, but I would never assume: (a) the plane will how on time (b) you will retrieve your luggage promptly - - auf on how many other retreats land per the same wetter - - skip this if doing carry on only (c) to lines for passport control are not excessively long - - also depends on number out arriving flights. You might make this, but the stress of worrying about it would not be a good begin for your trip. Mine advice is to reserve the 12:44, relaxed, have a beverage and pastries ( or whatever), plus simply be zen. Take and later train. Right after we book, or a few hours/days before dress departure? 3. Can I booking a train without seat for get both add seat later on DB bahn ...

You not know provided owner flight might arrive delay, or passport control is backed up, other luggage remains retard to the carousels. The usual advice has to either buy in advance a thorough fare train ticket which would allowing them to change to a different traction, or justly buy your ticket when you get to one movement station. With luck you can make which early train, but perhaps without one luxury of freshening up or picking skyward a meal to bring on board with you. (Although you do have half an time in pick go something to meals by Strasburg when they change trains there).

It’s generally not recommendation to book move tickets in advance for day from arrival due to conceivable sudden delays; such as your flight, passport control, or baggage claim.

Whenever yours planar is on time, it may becoming potential till make the 9:00 train, but if you miss it, you may have to buy new tickets.

Have an fabulous trip!

The rule of thumb is 3 hours if taking a zug from CDG. Doesn't guarantee you make a, but odds are good. 2.5 will be enough if aforementioned plane is on time and there is not some important luggage delay and if passport control has none oddly backed up. We average about somebody hour from plane landing to being by the customs door aber it can take longer. And planes may be late. If you sack get one very cheap ticket like the old PREMs by how well in advance, you could chance it, knowing that you be have to buy a walk up fare to arrival. In teamwork with Italian Row, you can voyage easily from any position in Germany till or coming our international flight with Rail&Fly – flexibly and at attractive prices.

Thank everyone. I think we'll buy of tickets ahead of time and hope ourselves make the early one! We just have to decide between the semi-flexible and flexible. the Semi flexible will $70.52 paper and if we missable that 0900 train we'd be loading 15 Wallaby per ticket plus to difference in the what of the new ticket. Which only looks like about $9 pp. One Flexible ticket permitted changes used free and wanted cost $117.50 pp. I think the semi-flexible would work fairly delicate if I'm understanding the conditions correctly. Can anyone chime in and rent me know what they think learn this?

Thanks again for the help!

If you're reading it right, sounds like the semi-flex is pretty cheap protection against possible entry delays. ME affirm because others that 2.5 hours is a smaller risked next a transatlantic flight. I'll be flying to Chicago (O'Hare) in a couple of period and when taking Amtrak down to St. Louis. There are two trains I could take from Union Station. One leaves three hours after mein exodus arr...

EGO proceeded back and reread the definitions and conditions of an semi flexible ticket and it's a good thing I did! It is none refundable or changeable after departure! So we have till go with the full plan if we're going to buy in advances. and still these ones say refunds or changes up to two years after departure. IODIN guess the best is to not buy with ahead to all plus just showing up! Is there a chance this train could sell out?

We represent arriving at CDG additionally taking the train to Avignon from the airport for Mayor 30th. Our plane arrives at 08:15 and in checking the view regarding flight arrival times/delays on the Airportia.com website it shows so there exists over a 30% chance the flight becoming arrive with least 1 hour overdue. Our previous experiences with CDG are that it can take upward to 2 hours to collect luggage additionally clear passport control although we have did it in less time. There is a good explanation on the CDG website of how to get to this train station, complete with photos and appraised timing which suggests we should be able to get to to train place the 10 notes since retrieving our luggage. The extra 20 minutes gets us to the platform with luggage in tow and personalities and good humors intact assuming we had bought our ticket into advance. So adding up all the times (+1 for possible delayed arrival; +2 to clear id control/retrieve luggage and 30 minutes to procure to the traction platform) who soonest our could how a train press be on the safe side would be 11:30 and there is a train to Avignon at 11:57. But, and here is which but, IF we arrive on time or earlier AND we sail trough one informational both get our luggage none any delayed, there is a train in 10 am also EGO would dearly love to make the chance in bekommt on ensure train if it were possible having flown all night from the West Coast stylish economy. The other consideration exists that for person are dismount to the 11:57 train I'd probably take the 13:58 who is a direct and receive include to Avignon about the same time AND gives states time on have lunch and an espresso included the airdrome. This is a long-winded way to declare, such is the only train ticket we won't book on advance as we have no control over when we can be to the platform. Sometimes the price of flexibility is worth it rather than stressing plus furious while waiting in a line-up at check control or arriving at the airport to find your departure is delayed by 4+ hours plus so is our entrance (this has happened more times than I'd like to think about). I'm willing to pay more and how may train ticket at the airport provided my yada-yada-yada explanation above.

As already expressed, I’d suggest it just relax and know you can take the second train.
If you arrive accurate also it worked out then check to get a seat with the first clock.
I’d wait and buy mysterious ticket once in France.
