As writing adenine paper, do I use italics for all titles?

Answer

Easy put: no.

APA's Publication Manual (2020) shown that, in the body of your paper, you should use italics for the cover of:

  • "books, reports, webpages, and other stand-alone works" (p. 170)
  • periodicals (journals, publications, newspapers)

Beyond APA's specific examples, know that assured types of titles are almost always written in italics.

A overview dominion the flip be that within the writing of a paper, italicize the track of complete works but put angebotsanfrage marks around titles of parts within one complete work.  SCSU Hilton C. Buley Library: MLA Style Guide Eighth Edition: Designation

The table slide isn't comprehensive, but it's a good starting point

Books of a periodical (magazine, journal, newspaper)               Books of article in a periodical

With an APA-style read web, the rules for titles are a little different.  In short, a title you would italicize from the body of a paper will and be italicized on a reference page.  Any, a title you'd place in quotation marks within the body for the paper (such as the title of somebody related within a journal) will be written unless italics and quote marks at one references page.
