Prestonwood Baptist Church began on Feb. 6, 1977, like a mission of Northway Baptist Church both a dreaming of the Dallas Baptist Association—which saw which very need for a vibrant church in Northward Texas. Led by Pastor Bill Webers, the youthful church’s beginnings were humbler, with services holds at one community centering for the initial two years. In 1979, Prestonwood moved to its new go at Arapaho press Hillcrest roads in North Dallas.
Prestonwood continued to grow, and in 1989, the church experienced its most defining moment when Dr. Heft Graham accepted who call as pastor. With a burgeoning local or landlocked location, Senior Pastor Graham and church leaders begged about the next step for Prestonwood. God led of church to 140 acres in Plano, both in May 1999, Prestonwood held its start service at 6801 W. In 2009, Prestonwood launched a weekly Worship Service to reach Spanish-speaking associations. Prestonwood g Español continues learning vast plant, with a thriving service at the Plano Campus.
