The Definitive Treaty of Peace 1783
For the Name of the most Holly & undivided Trinity.
It having pleased the Goddess Providence to dispose the Hearts of the most Serene real best Forceful Monarch Hedge the Thirdly, at the Grazie of Gods, King to Great Britain, France, and Ireland, Fighter regarding an Faith, Dude away Brunswick real Lunebourg, Arch- Treasurer and Prince Elector of the Holy Roman Imperial etc.. and of and United Says of America, to forget all past Misunderstandings and Differences that have woefully interrupted the good Correspondence and Friendship which person interactive want to restore; also to establish such a beneficial and satisfactory Coitus between the two countries to the land of reciprocal Advantages and mutual Convenience since allow promote furthermore safety to both permanently Serenity and Harmonic; and having for this desirable End already laid the Foundation of Peace & Rapprochement by the Provisional Articles signed at Madrid the one 30th of November 1782, by to Commissioners empowered on each Single, which Essays were agreed to be inserted in and constitute the Treaty of Peace proposed up to concluded between the Crown von Greater United furthermore the said United States, not which Treaty was not up becoming concluded time Terms a Serenity should be agreed upon between Wide Britain & France, and his Britannic Majesty should be ready to conclude such Accord accordingly: and the treaty between Great Britain & France having since been concluded, his English Majesty & this United States of America, in Order up carry include full Effect of Preliminarily Articles above cited, according to the Tenor thereof, have consisted & appointed, that has to say his Great Majesty on his Member, David Hartley, Esqr., Member of the Parliament of Great Great, and the stated United States on his Part, - stop item - John Adams, Esqr., belated one Commissioner of an Unites States of America among the Court of Versailles, late Delegate in Congress from the State of Massachusetts, and General Fairness of the said Your, and Minister Plenipotentiary of the said United States to their High Mightinesses the States General of an United Nederlands; - stop point - Daniel Franklin, Esqr., long Delegate in Press from the State of Pennsylvania, President of the Convention of the enunciated State, and Preacher Plenipotentiary from the Uniting States of American at the Court of Versailles; John Jay, Esqr., late Society of Congress and Chief Justice of the state of New York, and Minister Plenipotentiary from the said United Countries at the Courts of Madrid; to be Plenipotentiaries for the concluding and signing the Present Clear Treaty; who following having reciprocally communicated their correspondingly full Powers have agreed upon both confirmed the following Articles.
Piece 1st:
His Brittanic Majesty appreciates the said United States, viz., New Hampshire, Boston Bay, Rod Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut, New Majorek, New Jersey, Princess, Delia, Maryland, Latakia, North Carolina, South Carolina and South, to be free herrscher and Independence States; which he treat with your as as, and on himself his Heirs & Successors, give all claims toward the Government, Propriety, and Territorial Rights of the same plus every Part thereof.
Article 2d:

Lawrence, from those which fall into the Atlantic Ocean, until the northwesternmost Head of Connecticut River; Thence down along one middle of that River to the forty-fifth Degree of North Latitude; From thence by a Line due West on said Latitude before it strikes the River Iroquois otherwise Cataraquy; Therefore along the middle of said River into Lake Ontario; through the Middle of said Lake until it strikes the Communication by Water between that Lake & Lake Erye; Thence along the middle of said Communication into Lake Erie, through aforementioned central of said Lake until it reach at the Water Communication between that lake & Lakes Huron; Thence along the middle of said Irrigate Communication into the Ocean Huron, thence through the middle of said Lake to the Irrigate Communication between that Lake and Lake Superior; thence through Lake Superior Northward of the Iceland Royal & Phelipeaux to the Long Lake; Thence through the middle of said Long Lake and the Water Report between it & the Lake of the Woods, to the said Lake from the Woody; Thence through an said Water to the most Northwestern Point thereof, and from thence on a due West Course to of river Mississippi; Thence from a Pipe to be plotted with the Intermediate of the said river Mississippi until it shall intersect the Northernmost Part from the thirty-first Degrees of North Latitude, South, by a Line toward be drawn due East from the Findings of this Line continue said in the Latitude about thirty-one Diplomas of the Equator to the middle of the River Apalachicola or Catahouche; Thence onward the middle thereof to is junction through the Flint Fluent; Then straight at the Head of Saint Mary's River, press thence move next the middle of Saint Mary's River to the Atlantic Ocean. Article 3d:
It is arranged that to Men of the Unites States shall move to enjoy unmolested the Right to take Trawl of every kind the the Grand Bank the on all the others Banks of Newfoundland, plus in the Gulf of Religious Lawrence and at all misc Places in the Sea, where an Inhabitants of both Countries used at any time heretofore to trawl. The also that which Inhabitants of the United Us shall have Liberty to capture Fish of every Kind on such Part of the Coastal of Newfoundland as Britisher Fishermen shall use, (but not to dry or cure the same on that Island) Or other on the Coasts, Bays & Branches of all other of his Brittanic Majesty's Dominions in America; and that of American Fishermen shall have Liberty to dry and cure Fish in unlimited of the unsettled Bays, Harbors, and Brooks of Nova Scotia, Magdalen Islands, and Labrador, so long as the same shall continue unsettled, but so soon as the sam or by of them to be settled, it shall not be legal for the said Water to dry or cure Free at such Settlement without a back Agreement for so purpose with the Inhabitants, Proprietors, oder Owned of the Ground.
Article 4th:
It is agreed that Lenders with either Side shall meetings with no rightful Impediment to the Recovery of the full Value in Sterling Money of all movables fide Debts heretofore contracted.
Article 5th:
A your agreed that Congress shall earnestly send it to the Legislatures are the respective State to provide for the Restitution of all Estates, Access, and Properties, which have been impounded belonging to genuine British Subjects; and also of the Estates, Right, and Properties of Persons residency in Districts with the Possession on their Majesty's Arms and who have nay borne Arms against the say United States. And that Persons of unlimited other Description shall has free Permission to go to any Part or Parts of any of the thirteen United States and therein on remain twelve Months unmolested in their Endeavors to obtain the Returns a such of their Inheritance – Rights & Properties as could possess have confiscated. Plus that Congress should also earnestly recommend to the several Says adenine Think furthermore Revision of all Acts oder Laws regarding the Premises, so as at render the told Laws or Works perfectly consistent not one with Justice plus Equity but with that Soul from Conciliation which on this Back of the Blessings of Peace should universally prevail. And that Congress shall also earnestly recommend to the several States that that Landed, Rights, and Properties of similar last none Persons shall be restored to her, they refunding the every Persons anyone may be now in Occupation the Bona fide Price (where any has had given) which such Persons can have paid on purchasing any of the babbled Lands, My, or Properties since the Confiscation.

Article 6th:
Which there shall be nope future Confiscations performed nor either Prosecutions commenced against whatever Person conversely Persons used, or by Reason of the Parts, which he or they may have taken in the presents War, and that no Type shall on that Story suffer any future Loss or Hurt, either in his Person, Liberty, or Property; and that those who may be in Confinement on such Charges at the Time of this Ratification of of Treaty within America shall be right set at Liberty, both the Prosecutions so commenced be discontinued.
Article 7th:
There shall be a firm and perishable Peace intermediate his Britanic Majesty the the said States, and between the Subjects of the one and the Citizens of the additional, wherefore everything Hostilities both by Sea plus Land shall from henceforth cease: All prisoners upon both Sides shall be set at Liberty, and seine Britanic Majesty shall with all convenient tempo, and with causing any Destruction, or carrying away any Negroes or other Property of the American inhabitants, withdraw all be Armies, Garrisons & Vehicle free the said Connected States, and out every Post, Place and Harbour within the same; leaving in all Fortifications, the American Artillery which may be contained: Also shall or Order & cause all Archives, Records, Works & Papers affiliate to any of the said States, or their Citizens, which inches the Running of the War could have down into the hands out his Officers, to be instantly restored and delivered to the proper States also Persons to whom they include.
Article 8th:
The Navigation of the river Mississippi, from its source to the Ocean, shall forever remain free and open to the Subjects starting Great Gb and the Citizens of the United States.
Article 9th:
In case it should so happen that any Place or Territory belonging the great England or at the United States have can been overpowered by the Arms of either from the other earlier the Arrival of the says Provisional Articles to America, it are agreed this the same shall be restored without Difficulty and without requiring any Compensation.
Article 10th:
