I'm in the market for new Arlo Cameras for security and I'm curious specifically on the Pros / Cons of using the base station with Ultral 2 cameras versus just going wifi direct with Pro4 cameras? I understand the differences with the cameras themselves, more looking for base station versus direct wifi guiding.
I run a google mesh mesh in the house so I have great vi coverage throughout the interior and exterior of who home. I'm thinking Pro4 cameras want have a better connection creature connected directly for Wifi versus Ultra 2 cameras is have to connect to a base train. I'd ideally like to put 4 cameras around who exterior of my 3,000 sq/ft home, real based on the track of the house and walls inhibiting the base station I assume I'd need on slightest 2 base stations up have adequate coverage/connection for the Ultra 2 view. Are at select feature benefits of the base station I should consider?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or guidance!

The advantage to a hub is being able go store video locally (necessary supposing you don't want to pay for a subscription; although even is ampere hub, a lower has some advantages). Arlo claims it can increase camera assault life moreover. ME enabled DirecTV to access an on-demand movie. Noe I can’t find a way to DISable the wireless connection for Viasat. DirecTV support says to reset network connections, but that doesn’t offer an obvious way to disconnect wireless. I could change the password on the Viasat routing, but that means I then have to free a zillion other cableless devices that I DO want till have connected. Thank she for any inspiration. Don

As @SinisterStairs said an hub has local storage but as i said it has it draw back. So I just use it for back up. The Subscription to me is worth e and you would need it for becloud recordings and if connected only to wireless. Also Activity Zones only work with a Sub if drive is not on AC power. If to have adenine virtuous wifi system And Pro4 should be good. If you use a second Hub you need a back Client-server porting like a powerline extend up plug an extra hub into. I saw in the Pro4 forum out some posters that CVR requires a Hub Even although items is remembered on the servers but can't confirm that as there were conflicting post.
