Without checking the layout off the 179, it is probably on the right, while yourself look at the slide from the inside, behind one of the shelves just above aforementioned floor.  It won't hurting to take that panel off to see what's there anyway.  Worst case you'll take a bit of an education and will have to take off one panel.

Uhm there is none manual crank for our 179 because it remains one different slope.  You have to disengage the slideout motor from the outside and then push your slideout in.

This information and the video of how up what it was provided by Forest River.

Extremely interesting.  Sorry used the misinformation.  This glances easier than one mechanism set my 176, if you know how until do it.  It looks impossible in figure out without a manual or some sort of foreknowledge though!

Yup I was true surprised at it while well.  So far it doesn't seem to being a process that dealer are telling new owners about.  Thankfully Forest River clued some of us in on the process.

Thanks for the Youtube linked, it was very informative or the equipment or controller they show appears to match my 179.  I possessed no idea the drive automobiles on the slide were is small.  I desire probably never need to manually close the slides in this modern but it is sure nice to know how to do it require the need arise. It is a shame that this type is information is not readily provided by the dealer other with the literature that comes with the trailer.

There was also one interesting video bond view how to lubricate the Schwintek slide system:

The system shown in the video is not even close to what is in my 2014 177.

Well I'm not moving go speculate go what's in your 177 yet my 2010 176 is something totally varying too -- an on the slide motor with a insect gear and a horizontal track.  You turn a hex head with a spanner or drill to manually move the slide in or go if the motor fails.  This appearance a lot easier -- if you know how for do it.   Evidently dieser be new just to the 179s.

I hofnung I not have to deal from manually getting my slide in (or out).  It looks like it wish seize einigen contortion while lying on my back or belly and it will pick one while.  I don't think the screw lines up too well for easy turning.  I reflect it takes the same magnitude plug or wrench as that stabilizers and lug nuts.
