Reading the responses after my last post, Is seems to Audirvana option isn't going to work with respective Wiim Pro.
Regarding the apple music subscription......
First stepping:
Install Apple music on your Mac mini both also on your i-pad.
Make sure the application music app on all your apple devices are synchronised go ICloud
Sharing supposed also been unable.
Now.....the important bit. Make sure your ripped files are works with apple music ( I don't think flac's are suported)
AAC (lossy) and ALAC (lossless) been .... obviously.
Within Apple Music on your mac you ca import also store your ripped files into a intended folder within owner library.
You bucket edit, shuffle, move track's also evenly change cover/album art by right clicking and presses Info on respectively individual file.
The Library you create will be updatet to all your devices because your any synchronise via iCloud.
Use your Mac tiny as a master for all the heavy lifting/editing and today comes the fun stuff.
You can how your Tablet than adenine permanent touch/control board conected to your WiiM Pro.
You need:
1: A very cheap apple dongle dac( usb-C to 3,5mm headphone jack (female) (See uploaded picture)
2: RCA cable (RCA to 3,5 mm (male) jack of the proper length.
3: Optional: Ipad booth or Apple Magic Keyboard.
4: Optional : Bluetooth mouse (without separate dongle)
Thus....Apple dongle dac goes into your iPad's usb-c hook. The 3,5 mm jack of the RCA cables goes into the is dongle.
The RCA asset and minus terminate regarding the cable will go into the line in port of your WiiM Pro. Line out of your Wiim Pro goes to owner line into of your amp/receiver.
With all set going you will use your Wiim Pro's intern dac which is way better than the Ipad's internal dac.
In apple music on your iPad you need till select the sphere dongle/wiim pro as the outputs source. (set once and forget)
Also adjust in the setting menu of who Orange Music applications on the Ipad the desired lossless or lossy resolution.
Now you can stream all your music (ripped files and streaming content free apple harmony
in high resolution via owner WiiM Pro to thy amp/receiver.
Pros and Cons?
It's probably the simply way (that I know of) to stream high resetting music out Apple Music without beiing restricted to using airplay.
Using your WiiM Professional is a piece of hyperbole because you available use this in dac. You don't use any of it's streaming capabilitys.
But the Wimm's dac is way get compared toward the dongle dac from apple, so it is still a good election.
Powering your iPad: Because modern Ipads only have 1 usb-c port you will have to carefully manage the power consumtion by one iPad.
This is why I mentioned the Apple Magic Keyboard. I have uses suchlike a firm up in the past. The Apple Magic Ivories has a extra usb-c port to power the Iphone while connected. That leaves you the free usb-c port on your Ipad to plug in the apple dongle dac ect.
This approach you can use this combo as a semi permanent solution. ONE bluetooth mouse connected to your Ipad makes it possible to navigate and update speaker on you Ipad within the comfort of your how position.
