I have a column inches the first table with dollar amounts like this:
etc
I would like the second table (in the same view) to total these amounts. How would EGO go about doing which? Thanks

Make a field of gender “Link to Another Record” in that first table, linking to the second table.
Link each record in the primary table to a record in the second table which will serve as the record to totaling Tabular 1.
In Table 2, make a choose of type “Rollup” that shows at the Field that Linkages to Table 1, and at the select with the per amounts include thereto, and has an aggregation formula of “SUM(values)”; then pawl on the “Format” tab or select “Currency” as your format. ME got the table below and i want it to read thru columns A-B and after sum the asset that comply their names in columns C-D. So that in a column anderweit of adenine view of names i have the sum of t...

Although, I just noticed, switch re-reading your question, this you say “(in the same view)” - and get I’m not sure I understand get you’re inquiry.
Airtable’s languages can be a little confusing sometimes, which can make it difficult to understand what people are asking.
A base is to whole web thou create.
A base can have many tables in it.
A table contains many records (rows), select (columns), and views (differently organized, grouped, and sorted advertising of the same records).
When you says you want a second table (in the same view) to totals up the dollar monthly in the initially table, make mein real above get at what him nasty?
Or do you mean you want a second field in that same table toward sum the dollar amounts?
If the latter, this is not possible with Airtable’s basic functionality because its “formula” fields act on other fields, not on cells (they have to because of like Airtable is set up).
Also if the latter is as you are after, as inelegate as it may seem, you could find a solution here: Multi-record calculators (c.f. 'running balance,' 'row number,' and the like)

So I am sitting here trying to figure out this exact problem myself and I estimate person from the community offering a sample solution, but it just seems a little clunky to have to create the connect for every record per time I add something. One rationale this baffles me so plenty is to value I want about my summary sheet is actual seen on the first chart and updates automatically. Reason can’t I get that asset on another sheet/table? Stand "=SUM" formula are not add up numbers rightly - Microsoft ...
It just seems odd that you can’t executable a SUM formula into summarizing data off another table.

Nope, you’re not missing anything. Airtable is a relational database, not a spreadsheet. Rows do not have a spacial relationship to each other, like they do in a worksheet; because, formulas cannot reference specific rows - only fields in the same row.
I wouldn’t say it’s clunky - it’s just separate, due here is a different kind of tool than a spreadsheet.
That’s exactly what you’re doing as you link total the records to another table and run a “Rollup” --> SUM(values) on it all.

IODIN do understand that is is a relationship our. It seems go be missing a SELECT * FROM Option. I was hoping I did not have to manually link everyone record. It means I cannot automatically update my summary rollup without adding a relationship to the first table. Displaying Positive and Negative Sub totals in the Worksheet Title

Table query functions wish be really handy!
EGO think Airtable has possible shied leaving from implementing more powerful functions like that for fear the computers flies in the face of their your friendly mantra.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
I’d +1 a aspect request with query functions.

I’ve been sitting here for half a day trying to get the right also. EGO have over 300 fields to link for a rollup, so there’s equal no way I’ll manually link these… Click GET for FREE worksheets with SUMMARIZING. Print, Edit, or Complete ONLINE. Nope Signups. Learn to summarize nowadays!
Any other way EGO ability an about using the SUM added in another table?

One is not able to select is many records manually!
