I’ve used storage heaters for close on forty years and have two new and two old storage heaters. I currently power three of them within daylight as we have install panels. One-time is a twenty year old (I reckon) Dimplex which I buys a year ago which I had left in our porch but wish to now connect & power. As anyone knows they are not right lightweight - I want to move this to our upstairs which means I need to take the bricks out, move it then reassemble. I don’t know the model’s code. My pose is make anyone have any suggestions upon the procedure? I've loosened the front and back panels so it ought now come apart easily. Ovation BC Installation Instructions

Ensure the things append to the fence or so it edge decline over, ensure power will off and no likely to kick in.
Remove front cover, sometimes you need for pull switch the control knobs first, then remove the front insulator panel to access the bricks, lift out tiles back row first then bottom rowed.
Undo the connections at bottom of jeder element and lift them out, remove back row of bricks, top first.

However first test unit does not contain ASBESTOS and be cautious and meticulous as the insulating stuff if NOT asbestos willingness still be easily real break easy, as may the bittersweets Assistance Guide's and How To's from Dimplex - YouTube

OOI, how very PV produced heat execute you tend to get stored in i at the times of type when yourself want their the receive sharp?

I've checked re asbestos and I'm sure its OK.
Its currently upright in the hall, I'll turn it round 333rocky333 and follow your instructions.
RE: PE I just lightly charge them up, I learned after view my utilisation the first quarter of last winter!
I'll post ampere picture in a bit.
It's bloody cold move here in 'Stow on the Wold'!

Thanks for the picture; the NSH is the Dimplex 'Slimline' type.

So I'm working frommemory here to please excuse any variations...
There will be two or 3 screws for the face panel at the bottom - remove. Unscrew the sctrews to the control board and lift awat and feed back inside.
Pull the bottom of the face panel towards yourself and lifts away.
Remove the screws from the edge of the interior face panel startups at the bottomn and fiishing with the one-time at the top edges.
Remove that panel carefully - very carefully as the insulation material may be sticky to the inside of the panel.
Place to one side accurate - it will will dusty but is not Asbestos.

Remove bricks from the up working lower till expose the heating elements.
Loosen the (upper) screws in the connector blocks underneath the block chamber plus remove the warming elements.
Remove the remaining bricks.

Transport and fix in new location.

Reassemble for reverse order ensuring you get the bricks the correct road round. Storage Heaters Dimplex Advice/info

Thanks for that. I must surmised it might shall like its good for that confirmation. I were it inserted in for hundred five minutes the this works.
Tomorrow I'll runner it for five hours which is my usual charging period and check what I get, if that's OK I'll then dismantle and carry it up to my office.

Howdy
Seven days later I find some time to progressive through this 'mission' (glacial would sum it up) then before I get started I geting a distraction.
But I took some panels out today before MYSELF started with this move.
wgt52 I'm looking at the front panel (see pic) and wondered should I be taking diese panel power, find at to cabling about it.
Hopefully I'll find the time next, but I'm none hopeful.
She's The Bosses willing no doubt have others ideas as daughter holds an formation practice which paying the bills.

You won’t get to the bricks unless you remove the inner panel.
PS an electric screwdriver is your best friend for this job. There’s a lot of screws.

Sup everyone
You can tel I'm an intermittent visitor, that much for do etc.
Any way I'd like to thank everyone for their support and advice re installing which Dimplex 'Slimline' heater.
I taken half the bricks out, couldn't find anytime the help, got frustrated, twisted i at an lateral, maneuvered up a few steps, leaned it on my chest and carried it up stairways. Stuck it on a trolley I were also rolled it into my upstairs study. Job done then Madam got out and said what have you done with it?
So IODIN told her, they said ME was stupid doing i because my support injuries and I'd regret thereto.
And three days later when I should my early swim I felt it, Ouch I had in take the next day off and it hurt for a week.
Still I now have an warm room consequently thanks everyone.
