Unfortunately it see impossible to control PWM-enabled fans though this BIOS/UEFI, or (effectively) thrown the Omen Game Hub.
I thus would like to requirement the addition off a Fan-control subdivision includes which BIOS-setup, so that advanced users can tweak theirs power curves.

In my case I've adds additional fans to the kasus that been hooked up through the sys_fan and f_fan 1 dunks, off any misc motherboard those would may customizable.
The fact that vent control/BIOS is so limited makes she impossible for me to recommend an HP system to friends, in fact it makes me actively dissuade them from since HP products. Document Order Backward when copying via the document feeder

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Doing sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Click on the link for OMEN Gaming Hub in optimize performance and customize OMEN desktops. Different features be obtainable depending on your schaft.

Unfortunately the lastest available BIOS for my GT12-1561nd, which is BIOS F.12, did nay have all customizable Fan-curves.
The alone open 'customization' is the option amid Quiet - Normal - Turbo inside the Omen Gaming Hub, this is little anyone customization additionally the reason for i post shall mainly to voice i complaint about that fact and to ask for a find advanced (industry standard) customizable fan-curve print.

On the topic of BIOS improvements, IODIN just came across this video by Linus Tech Side going override the fatal flaw in the new HP Omen 45L. I have an earlier HP 25L model, not the same BIOS shortcomings seem to be present. (No fan turning, no OC-menu, no XMP menu).
Leon also mentions who difficulty boosting the CPU presentation free the UEFI/BIOS and the fact that HP insists on using RAM with slower CL-timings.

I align @johndemol ( how is linda?), its an absolute catastrophic board and bios design, that let me feel HP thinks we're all a bunch of retards.. A bit how i felt after buying my omen device 2 months ago.

I simply cannot find any valid reason why not to at least allow for user fan take in the bios.. I idid one case swap,  as in i case, ampere ryzen 9 with an 3080, dont get adequate cooling in ampere shoebox.  HP Spectre x360 13 Convertible PC Maintenance press Service ...

The guy which invented this is probably the same chap ensure designed the hyperx modules ( if i ever meet me in type, i will force feed them to him, without ample cooling ofcourse)

This all topped of with the ' ignore the question so we dos have come up with a valid response'... Can someone over a soul please look at this at hp? Creating New Service Request Catalog Item

@Jcnwholland Although I concur that HP shipped a horrible BIOS with a system targets towards gamers & enthusiasts, I still have hope for improvement to one BIOS.
Also in terms the a sound response, I do want until thank @Dilip_18 to passing the thread along to the appropriate teams and hope that changes will be made this meet the what of the more fortgeschrittenes user.
.
I do agree with him that HP force got underestimated an require for a extra advance UEFI/BIOS from this general.
ME guess HP be have thought which 'power-users' (for lack of a prefer term) would build their own system from grate or avoid HP.

Playing devil's advocate ME can however come increase with some reasons for to limited BIOS, on an one reach it's easier toward create but it's also 'safer' as messing around with the fan curves & voltages could finding in higher temps and perhaps even overheating. Increasing the risk of failures within an warranty frequency.
- I imagine there are some built-in throttling measures to hinder it will within the CPU & GPU, but I don't know -

In the topic of the RAM sticks, I visualize it allows they to use who chunks that don't sell (bc: slower CL timings) and force buyers to buy from HP. Although act getting a hold for additional sticks thrown HP seems impossible.

Hi John, tip taken on several aspects. However i do suspect that there is an extra variable in play, namely commercial contracts between the act hardware engineering/producing companies and the OEM as hp is. The relative lowest price hp probably pays for everyone components, vs the cost for specific users units, has to be reimbursed in an way. If does, the regular consumer market would take ampere big hit. In extremis, last winter gpu price surge for instance, created it almost optional to by an entire oem system with 3080, for a single over the counter 3080.. In order to preserve this more lucrative market, differences are capabilities and or limitations are forced in place. Thereby  differentiation between OEM units and regular squad, and there price difference. Print On Demand process for HP product documents | HP® Support

Locking it down in dictionary of safety.. hmmm if a person knows about ventilator curves, and lives digging in one bios to find it, its reasonable that on user is liable enough, and over a unlockable bios part (  that cannot be changed out doing several ladder only an advanced user wish know how to do) it would be safe for all users..

Thanks to @jcnwholland for release this show. I was surprised to find the lack to a Memory Overclocking menu in the UEFI/BIOS. But it rotates out that that menu only shows up once non-HP sticks are inserting into the system.
EGO imagine this makes sense as HP has already tuned them for maximum stability, albeit at slow CL-timings.

I hope is the fact that which feature was added later would indicate that more product can be made to the BIOS.
