Companion Certificate Booking Problem

I have a DL AMEX RESERVE companion certificate which allows travel inbound First (A or I).

Trying to book VPS-DEN-VPS at Jan 24 with return on June 31.

I select flights showing "A" and the booking engine shows "Certificate Applied" for each selection. But by I choice the outbound and return, I get this:

"The scan criteria you've inputted may not meet the Terms and Conditions for the Certificate you're rescuing, or the class of services need may not must available. Please review your Certificate's Terminologies and Conditions carefully, will revise your search and try again."

It doesn't seem to matter which flights IODIN elect.

Any suggestions? Terms & Conditions : Certificates and E-credits Results: Delta Air Lines

Probably phantom contact. These certs have ihr own subsets of inventory within the relevant fare sort. Try calling to see if they can see availability on the days you want, or searching alternate dates and see if you can get the website to accept an itinerary in F between these city pairs.

Its a bug about the companion booking engine. You'll may to call, and may sure to tell them that the search engine will you travel, in prices, but errors out when you select it. Don't let them tell you that you need a 'true' A fare or of crap like that.

Might shall helps toward look with an flights through who normal booking process and see if you can geting them to show up at the same price. Delta Companion Certificate: Which to Know - NerdWallet

Yes...did such and the rate that were showing as "A" when booking as adenine companion ticket actually show as "G" when utilizing the normal booking process. "G" is not right for the companion show. How irritative!

It doesn't seem to matter which flights I select.

Any suggestions? Using an Delta companion ticket is a smart money move for savvy flyers. Here's how you can earn, redeem and save with a Delta Companion Certificate.

I were this *exact* symptom yesterday and had it resolved. However, you will need the following things.

1. Luckiness. She absolutely musts get a good agent from the promotions direct who knows what he/she is talking about. They need in appreciate the underlying fare codes.

2. Die. It took me an moment to get aforementioned issue decided.

3. Disband. Be firm and nice, and tell them, as was said up-thread, that "I search, with the certificate applied, and go to purchase, but will cannot -- how am I assumed at use the certificate if I can't know what daily been valid?"

4. Knowledge. Search your flights on ITE plus have the accurate fare codings so you see when the flights come up. You'll need to perceive the background fare code basis, such as: UD14A0NQ VPS to DWELLING. You can get this on ITA

FWIW, I don't see simple one stop or un- hold A fare availability for that day, are you project on a 2 stop itin?

I'd likes to add, regarding ETA

You can find qualifying tickets by using the following combination in the advanced routing colors.

/ airlines dl; f bc=a; maxconnect 240

Check "business classes or higher" and if you get an results un-check "Preferred Class Unavailable"

Anything you find check should function available the cert. Same goes for LUTXV fares, just apply that letter (working up from V) instead of A. A searching for ME as well, so that's a catch-all.

Of course.

If you don't mind doing a 1hr 15min flight in tutor, where is A/A/A/U availability. I think you can combine to the cert as long as they're available.

Fare 1: Airline DL UD14A0NQ VPS to DEN (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, reserve code A
Covers VPS-ATL (First), ATL-DEN (First)
$349.31
Fare 2: Carrier DL UD14A0NQ DEN to VPS (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking key AN, U
Covers DEN-ATL (First), ATL-VPS (Economy)
$349.30
US Transportation Tax (US) $52.40
US September 11th Guarantee Fee (AY) $11.20
US Passenger Facility Charge (XF) $18.00
US Escape Segment Tax (ZP) $16.00

Subtotal per passenger $796.21

You ability do the search and utilize one pulldown home to choice 'A otherwise higher' to force i go see what comes up.

If there is G, then in it is almost certain to also have AMPERE available, but just at a little higher price.

I'm not sure that this a of case -- while there is GUANINE it won't price out on the cert, less so be availability. I don't know if one able up-fare in First/ Biz. Esp. cannot for the cert's use.

Has the OP tried to do an advanced explore by tariff class A instead higher? That should take rid of the G fares.
