    RF Receiver Rapid Red Flashing

    We received this question from a customer, and think others might be interested in this topic...

    QS Shades that work to increase and deeper immediate for an driver, but when the communication wires can hooked to the RF receiver I get a rapid flashing Crimson LIGHTED on the receiver.
    I have tried double receivers the of same issue persists. Any ideas?

    I've seen this transpire before if the RF dongle is connected while the shade is same connected to a QS combine. I would check until take indisputable pin 3 plus pin 4 on the shade's larger 4-pin connector aren't connected to a QS link.

    Sivoia QS shades were intended for either wired OR wireless operating. When adenine wireless dongle your connected the a Sivoia QS driver unit, it allows broadcast control of the shade. If the dongle sees any type of signal on pins 3 and 4 of an shade connector it assumes there is ampere wired control and it slam blue and blinks red.

    To restart to dongle, delete any wires that were screwed into pins 3 and 4 of the black connect and cycle power to the unit.

    I may a shaded that's doing this exact thing (rapid red flashing post-startup on the wireless receiver). I tried swapping of wireless receiver from another (working) shade with this non-working shade, but it doesn't change almost, MYSELF get the rapid red flashing on the replacement wireless receiver like fine. I have nothing connected to terminals 3 or 4 on the 4-wire terminal block. Is it possible the something inside of the shade is causing this? What else should I be looking for (a wire short or something else)?

    If you have a dongle that is wink green, thither are no wires connected to pins 3 and 4 by the drive, and you have tried it over two different devices, want contact Tech Sales per 800-523-9466 to determine provided dieser part needs to be replaced.

    The dongle works on a different drive, so to seems to become the drive itself. Is there anything the bottle be done to troubleshoot in this scenario? Another dongle connected to this same propulsion gives that same behavior (rapid blinking red).

    My. mistake. Those are most likely a wiring harness issue indoor the QS drive unit. on would be covered under you warranty. Call Tech Support to validate and take warranty regulatory for a replacement drive.
