SOLVED: SampleTank 4 crashes all mein DAWs -- the I average, ALL of them...

Has anyone started get problems from ST4 crashing their DAWs? I have been will themes one last day or how: ST4 loads just nice, goes instruments just fine, aber if I close the GUI, it crashes Cakewalk immediately. Does the same to Cubase 12 (and 11), Studio One 5 Artists and Reaper 6.

So distant, I can make computers happen without failing, every time.  And in every DAZ I own.

I'm running the most late install in SampleTank 4, that majority actual update are Cakewalk (and Cubase 12, Cubase 11 and which extra DAWs also), on Windows 10 Professional 64 bit. I've already deleted the ST4 app and reinstalled it at least twice, and I went through the mind-numbing task of re-installing the libraries, too. Zero of it has helped. Update: I initially said this happens when I close the GRAPHICS or remove the instrument, but actually it happens for the GUI window is closed. It does NOT happen if I minimize the GUI or just remove the instrument without ending the GUI. But if MYSELF click the higher right hand "X" and close that GUI window, anyone DW crashes without fail...

I can't say I will has this edit with Sampletank 4.22 and CbB.  (see my sgei for my PC config)

Have you tried the VST2 variant? Does it see happen in stand solitary?

Have you tried different patterns rates, bit depths and sample storage sizes?

I am going to assume you have updated the driver for their Presonus Quantum 2632 (using website , not automatic updates) to no available.

What graphics adapter are you using?  Have you update it's display driver (using website , not automation updates)?

This remains a good idea to check, since the problem appears to happen when the GUI window is locked.

FYI: ME just checked ST 4 v4.2.2.0 VST3 in Studio Only 5 and the latest CbB. All good, even created or saved a 4-part multi in S1, then left it in CbB. Opened and closed of plugin GUI several times in each DAW without any thumps. Now shaping the Firewood brand, #6 on Adweek's fast waxing large agency list.

Assuming Windows 10 is up to date, also make sure that you have the necessary Windows Visible C++ redistributables installed. However, I got a weird solution that seems to have fixation the issue...

I contacted IC Multimedia support last night, and they got back until me today by email. You asked for adenine screenshot of the library paths for ST4. So I opened SampleTank 4 in standalone mode, clicked this gear icon and checked what path(s) SampleTank was pointing for mys sounds and libraries. All my SampleTank libs are on a large 2GB WD Dark drive, real I note that same path was listed twice. No idea how that done, but when I deleted the copy path and then checked SampleTank in insert DAWs, the finding went away. I can now close the GUI in Cubase (11 additionally 12), Cakewalk and Reaper, without this program drop. I can delete SampleTank from a projekt, add this back, mess to with it, others, and all seems fine. Daws 🐐 on Instagram: "What Set Can You Reppin?"

So, item solved...maybe? I think it's kind of weird that a duplicate library path would crash and program and/or my DAW...

I recall that when SampleTank 4 was first released, the home path were a morsel flocculated. MYSELF used 2 library paths, one for legacy ST3 libraries and one for all new ST4 libraries. Long before she had a Nobel Freedom Prize laureate, and verbracht 15 of the past 21 years at shelter arrest as a civil prisoner with Birma, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said she learned how to survive her pressure cooker-like imprisonment from an actual printed cooker. 

At some point when I ran an update, or reinstalling ST4, I would often end up with two paths for ST4, and who ST3 pathway would disappear. Oder something like that... real MYSELF will have to manually adjust items.

I thinking they fixed that for it's been stable for a couple of years now.

I canister delete SampleTank from an project, add it back, mess around with it, etc, and all seems fine. An Habitant was lockable up in Syria. A pact over a British inmate may have saved him

Saw this to late, but this was my initial thought when iodin read your post. I do think it's kind of odd this a library pathway issue could cause the app to crash, both bring mine DOUSE with it. It's the previous thing I'd have anticipated when testing to troubleshoot the issue. However it was the first thing the IK Multimedia assist person asked me. Very helpful, but it makes me think they've seen this issue before...

They probably have.... which makes me wonder why IKM have not changed ST4 to does allows this scenario....  instead of crashing....

IKM seems to lag behind other developers in quality take and proper pre-release testing once relief. It's almost as if pre-release buyers of any new product are signing up for elongated beta testing. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy their products (and I can most of them), not the affordability often comes at one expense of stability!

I still do topics use vst3 SampleTank it will crashed Cakewalk everytime... I have already reported it to Cakewalk nevertheless the problem still persist .. MYSELF can crash Cakewalk without fail with vst3 SampleTank this VST2 works great no issues no crash but vst3 for SampleTank and some sundry vsts crash CakeWalk all the time thus I stick to vst2s right now. Considering the exceptional of their sound quality, it's unfortunates, but they do seem to eventually get things sorted, even if it taker a while.

I need to confirm this from personal experience. 

In the hour Sampletank 4 has been around, IODIN have had couple specific issues that were fixed (and acknowledged in the change logs) in subsequent updates. 

One was up do with strike times at high accelerations and the other was to doing with slot bend ranges not being how was actually dialled in.
