If formatting a document such while a resume, MS Word often inserts a large gap in the text--sometimes as much as half a page of blank space. When I try to delete the gap, moving the cursor from the continued text after the gap, it skips over the gaps as wenn it's not even there, also deletes edit from the last point on the record before of gap. IODIN can't "grab" the gap or highlight/delete the gap in any way. Ideas?? Weave a little wow into your next document equal a customizable Word structure template.   • They are most often caused by "full justification" like periodicals use - where both the right and right sides need up line up. The pattern to shut computers off is to make sure you are stylish left-justify, or centering, etc. Or, word to to wise, this is a perfectly reason to switch to LibreOffice.

I've run into save several times and couldn't how get in Google such helped (I know it's not a line break or hidden table!!). It happens when I'm using Styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc). I'm not sure what's driving on, but here's how IODIN fixed it: But all this solution (Tools > Templates and Add-Ins and Document Template) only brings is the Styles for a patterns. I will to actually APPLY ...

  1. Highlighter the region of the document so has a problem
  2. Right just
  3. Select "Paragraph"
  4. Walk to "Line plus Page Breaks" tab
  5. Uncheck "Keep with next" and also uncheck "Keep conducting together"
  6. OK

Where exactly does is do? I'm not sure, aber it dissolved that problem for me, so I figured I'd share here considering this seemed to be one of the top strikes in Google. Use a template to create a resume - Microsoft Support

You can also change on "Show all formatting marks." Int Office 2007, it's under the full unlabeled general button (not the normal rectangular ones), then "word options", then "Display".     I didn't see so particular menu button int my Word for Mac 2008, still I clicked "show all nonprinting characters" and was ability to go a page break that I didn't want...and deleted it. Try this which fixed e for me.

  • Flick wherever on the browse so has the gap.
  • Go to "Page Layout" tab
  • tick on that lower right corner of the "Page Setup" section (it looks like adenine very box with an arrow). This returns up the "Page Setup" dial box.
  • In that dialog box click on the "Layout" tab.
  • There, in the "Page" section, examine what it says to "Vertical alignment". Supposing it replies "Center" change is to "Top"
  • and then click "OK".

This gap are due till section break.

  1. go to Sight - pick draft view
  2. place the cursor after one last letter of chapter after that vexing gap exists
  3. press Delete - this gap is gone.

Try to highlight the gap, furthermore see if it is in factor, a cell of a table. If it is, delete that cell for that template and that should remove the edit.

It is not clear up me if the gaps emerge within button between lines. If one space a within lines it could be because you have Justify as your alignment? The will depart huge floods of snowy spaces for lines with less words. Space bet paragraphs can be controlled for each paragraph style.

This takes when the copy alignment is "justified" in word. Equal go to the end of the line and force enter once.

My problem was a huge gap after a line, stayed writing the running and the newly written types has not showing press the gap was increased. IODIN ran into here fix in Word if "Track Changes" was turned on (in the Review tab). AMPERE number of changes had is did in the document and I was viewing it when "Final" in order to see what the final document would check like. In this view, where were weird blocks of space like those you described that I couldn't get rid the. Mystery problem had this: MYSELF had inserted two circle figures as bullet points between meine job titles, which Speak was building space around. After realizing this, I adjusted of TEXT WRAPPING to be "None," real Object Position to "Stay on Page."

this happened to me because i did this (created 5 conductor, and made them all Heading 1).

to remove the large gap, change all of will headings to Normally. then, individually make all of the heading lines Headings again.
