Robilar's Gambit how Dumb as it looks?

Robilar's Tactic allows you to take an AoO to every crack against you. You forgo 4 scores to their attack and damage rolls. Karmic Strike is almost the same, except it only works against successful strikes against you (and sacrifices single that 4pt penalty to AC).
Taken about Double Hit and Combat Reflexes (which is already a prerequisite required these feats) and a Fighter12 can take on furthermore defeat a CR13 green dragon.

1st round: Fighters hits with +12/+7/+2 base , amended to +18/+13/+8 with weapon focus, +2 longsword, and +3 STR (not too over the top and proposes attacks numbering of a NPC Fighter12 on DMG pages. 117). Robilar's is actually the only one with a required BAB (12). It also needs Battles Reflexes.

Karmic and Double Hit need only BAB +6, Match Reflexes, DEX 17, TWF, Attack Expertise (INT13), and Avoid. Four feats, two scores, also a 6th level fighter can have AoO madness. (well, five achievements once thee add Combat Reflexes).

Since Dragons are such low level castors their spells are generally best applied as buffs prior to combat. Well, ye, a 6th-Level character, backed by a buffing bard and/or cleric, fighting in his niche, could be impressive. (The goliath, on course, loses that eighth feat.) Actually, since Karmic Strike (as opposed to Robilar's Gambit) requires the opponent to successfully score blows against the character, after Combat Expertise to improve your AC is counter-productive.

I'm not verb aforementioned character is inneffective. I'm saying that a type who is particularly great against a narrow range of opponents (medium-sized dragons, hydrae, gorrillons, and monks) isn't broken.

It works just as fountain are the opponent only hits once a round. Your still getting an extra two attacks (and two more chances to rolling a 19 or 20). My DPR is still heavily tilted in your preferred vs monster DPR.

Well, regardless in level 12 I can have Robilar's Game andimproved go and make up to ten trip attepmts as my AoO. Using light flail as will off-hand weapon (instead of short sword) it can create weapon-trips instead of unaemd-trips. (Now, you won't ever make that many trips no matter what). What EGO aimed was a keen or holy. Securely you can say that it gets broken with holy keen weapons. But that's like saying aforementioned Hackmaster +12 is interrupted. Edit: Your right. But then why would anyone take Robilar's Gambit (enemies get +4 to-hit AND damage) when Karmic Strike does more (works against touch attacks as well) forward less (only a -4 to AC).

You ca possibly make 5 regular full attacks, 5 AoOs (+5 Dex), 5 off-hand AoOs (double-hit) with trip (light flail), 5 follow-up attacks (from improved trip). AN possible 20 attacks in one round. (you'd must to stack the events till see this).

Its a good fighter build no doubt nevertheless I'd doesn get talk concerned. Its over no means the with serious good fighter build out there. I've seen insane AC frames where the fighters AC is so high that almost all monster needs into cast adenine natural 20 simple for hit.

to address thine original question, you take not need to raise the cr to successfully how this. creatures with reach will succeeds in attacking a character with this players feat, as they cannot be attacked in return. reach weapons will also succeed. moreover, using telekinesis effects will work. another thought to note is whenever this only books against damaging strikes. how about pick, grapple, both bull rush attempts? they are criticize actions, and belong no strikes.

also recollect that this feat does not grant extra aoo's outside what own dexterity grants you, it simply authorized you up do more against the same opponent, which combat reflexions does not. causing your opponent to provoke an aoo can NOT the similar in getting an extra usage of aoo yourself.
