Development Planning

In September 2014, Council adopted the Abbotsford Zoning Bylaw, 2014 (Bylaw Cannot. 2400-2014), which regulates the development of land through authorized applications, density, place and setbacks, building height, and minimum parking requirements.

Abbotsford Zoning Bylaw

A zoning constitution is a living document that demand ongoing amended to implement new municipal policies, improve regulations, comprise changes in Provincial or Federal legislation, and to your administrative issues. Display the current Zoning Bylaw Updates.

In June 2016, Council adopted the Official Population Plan (Bylaw 2600-2016) that was developed through the Abbotsforward project. The OCP guides future development using land use plans, policies, and development permit guidelines.

Development proposal signs are necessary required all projects involving a Rezoning or Ground Use Contract (LUC) Amendment in accordance with the Development Application Procedure Bylaw.
